| Studio Allach was established in 1963
and eventually became Union Studios, situated in Munich Solln, in
the late 1960s. Starting with just one studio it rapidly became a
much frequented venue for film music with it`s full sized projection
screen, two 35mm projectors and five Perfo copy machines. In 1969,
a newly built extension added a much larger studio which catered for
the rapidly expanding popular "schlager" market. A decade later, a
further extension provided a dedicated mixing studio with Hidley design
and the first SSL 4k console. A second SSL came 2 years later. Through
the 70s, 80s and 90s Union catered for nearly all of the national
and a host of international productions. Supertramp, Queen, Deep Purple,
Tears for Fears, Spandau Ballet and many more were clients. |
